Charity and Cause

It’s Okay Not To Be Okay is a registered mental health charity based on the Mornington Peninsula, founded by three sisters, driven by a shared mission to advocate for better mental health, grief support, and suicide prevention. Built on empathy and awareness, the organisation hosts community events and provides support to those bereaved by suicide.

Their goal is to create safe spaces for honest conversations and to remove the stigma around seeking help. In addition to their community outreach, they offer sponsorship of counselling sessions, ensuring those who are financially vulnerable still have access to critical mental health support.

Objective

At Theartistree, we’re passionate about applying our expertise to support meaningful causes, and this project was a cause we are proud to stand behind.

The purpose was to build a website that could connect the organisation with those who need their services most by boosting online visibility, awareness and elevating their existing brand. The design needed to feel welcoming and safe, while communicating the organisation’s mission, offerings, and impact.

From a design perspective, we aimed to create a clean, intuitive interface with strong emotional resonance—something that would immediately make visitors feel seen, supported, and empowered. The visual identity needed to reflect care, community, and authenticity.

What we achieved

Theartistree delivered an eight-page WordPress website that aligns seamlessly with the charity’s values and vision. Calming, thoughtful design elements were paired with a straightforward layout that’s accessible, making it easy for users to find the information and support they need.

The content was designed to highlight the charity’s powerful story and their ongoing work in mental health advocacy while providing clear pathways for users to donate, attend events, or seek help.

We carefully tailored the content and keywords to align with the charity’s audience, while also applying SEO best practices to enhance visibility on Google. This ensures the website reaches those seeking support, and equally as important, aligns with the corporate but community culture of established companies that can support and donate to the charity while also raising awareness of the organisation’s broader mission.

Outcome

We’re proud to have partnered with It’s Okay Not To Be Okay to support their digital presence. The final result is an eight-page WordPress website that supports their cause, improves access to their services, and reflects the passion driving their mission.

This project is part of our ongoing commitment to using digital tools for the greater good of our much-loved community. It’s an honour to support organisations making a difference, and in this case, literally saving lives.
